Cove, has a history of smuggling and you can still see the tunnels carved through the rocks of the headland, which were allegedly forged to carry contraband from the coast through to the inland village of Cocksburnspath half a mile away.

This charming upside down house with slate roof has been converted from a coastguards observation post with dramatic birds-eye views of the coastline.

The house is being sold through Smiths Gore’s Berwick office.
