Coldstream’s annual Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Fair at the weekend raised over £850 for the charity.
Organised by volunteers to raise funds for supporting patients and families with cancer diagnosis, the event is also a fund raiser for other local organisations, all benefiting from plenty of support in a packed Coldstream Community Centre.
Borders MP John Lamont attended the event and afterward he said: “All the volunteers did a really great job getting the hall all kitted out and arranging the charity fair.
“It was really well attended and it was great to see the community centre full to bursting for the morning.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and this is a chance for the community do what we can to fight back. Macmillan does great work supporting patients and families with a cancer diagnosis, ensuring people do not face cancer alone.”
