Post Office Ltd announced on Tuesday that it proposes to relocate Coldingham Post Office branch into better, brighter premises a short distance away from its current location.
The branch is expected to move 12 yards from its current temporary premises within a portable building in the Village Hall car park, Coldingham, into new permanent premises situated within the Village Hall car park.
Post Office Ltd believes the proposed arrangement presents the best solution to allow it to maintain and safeguard Post Office services in the area in the longer term. Customers will still be able to access the same wide range of products and services as the existing service, and offer our customers level access, more space and an extended retail area.
The date the new branch will open is currently being finalised and will be confirmed in due course.
Brian Turnbull, field change advisor for Post Office Ltd, said “Post Office Ltd intends to relocate this branch to improve facilities to our customers and to help safeguard Post Office services in the long-term. The facilities and service that we provide to our customers is of paramount importance and we are confident that our customers will benefit, in the longer term, by this change.”
Anyone with any comments or concerns about the proposed relocation can write to Brian Turnbull, C/o Post Office Ltd, National Consultation Team, PO Box 2060, Watford, WD18 8ZW.
