In 1913 the Edwardian children in the village of Cockburnspath and its surrounding farms began their education in a brand new school building.

One hundred years later the 21st century children at the school are going back in time as part of its centenary celebrations to experience for themselves what school was like in Edwardian times.

The children will also take part in traditional playground games, and if anyone can help with this, or could share memories or old photographs they are asked to get in touch with the school.

An assembly is being held on Friday, June 7, followed by a lunch, and on Sunday the parent council is hosting a tea and coffee event in the village hall 10am-4pm.
