CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, is calling for supporters from all over Scotland to join them in climbing Ben Nevis.
The climb, which will raise funds for the charity, takes place on Saturday, June 23. The charity is hoping to have a 100-strong team joining them in feeling on top of the world for this wonderful cause.
Speaking about the event regional fundraising manager Mhairi Pearson said: “We’re hoping to make this first Ben Nevis Climb an annual event for our supporters, a day for people to come from all over the country to take on a challenge and support Scottish children and young people with cancer.
“All the money raised in sponsorship by our participants will go to provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help families cope with the impact of cancer on family life.”
To take part participants are being asked to pay a registration fee of £35 and pay a minimum sponsorship of £250 per person or £800 for a team of four. On the day team CLIC Sargent will be in the safe hands of qualified mountain leaders and will be given a CLIC Sargent t-shirt.
