With summer holidays in full swing, national tourism organisation VisitScotland has teamed up with attractions in the Borders to help the public purse and encourage more staycations and day trips.

More than 100 attractions including Paxton House, Gunsgreen House in Eyemouth, Traquair House at Innerleithen and Mellerstain House & Gardens near Gordon are all providing offers such as ‘child goes free’ or ‘2 for 1’.

Vouchers can be downloaded from and printed off to use at participating locations.

Paula McDonald, regional director for VisitScotland, said: “It’s great to see local visitor attractions working together to make their area stand out and entice even more visits in this Year of Natural Scotland”.
