Booklet success

SIR, - I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those who contributed towards the success of the booklet “Dear Auld Hiemooth Toon”, a selection of local poems and songs I collected.

The main purpose of the project was to preserve indefinitely the thoughts and words of the various contributors. None of this would have been possible without this source of undeniable talent.

Special thanks must go to Tony Howard of Lowgate Publishing, North Berwick, who undertook as his donation the layout of the project. His expertise is obvious. My own very special thanks go to Fay and Marion at the Post Office shop, Eyemouth, who undertook the sale of what now exceeds 360 copies.

The proceeds from the sale have been presented to the Eyemouth Lifeboat and our Pipe Band, both of whom received £500.

Thank you all for your support.
