Rescue teams searching for a fisherman in his 70s reported missing near Coldstream have recovered a body from the River Tweed.
The Border Search and Rescue Unit was called out at about midday on Wednesday.
They joined underwater search teams, the Berwick inshore lifeboat and a helicopter from RAF Boulmer as part of the operation to try to trace the missing man.
A body was discovered a short while later in the water between Ladykirk and Norham. Police are not treating the case as suspicious.
