BORDERERS are being invited to join in the Annual Walk of Hope, to remember their loved one’s or to support Marie Curie Cancer Care, at the Borders General Hospital on Sunday, April 10.

The walk starts at 2pm from Car Park 4 of The Borders General Hospital, next to the Careshare Nursery, and will be led by The Jedburgh Royal British Legion Pipe Band.

It will follow the one mile stretch through the Borders Field of Hope along the footpath to Melrose and you can choose to either walk back the same route or stroll back through Melrose and Darnick.

A welcome cup of tea will be served on return.

This year there will also be face painting for the children and Fire Spinners will be doing a display prior to the Walk beginning, so come early and let the children have some fun.

The Marie Curie Borders Patron, the Hon Mr Angus Maclay will lead the Walk, so come along and enjoy the day, whilst raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Every £20 raised on the day will pay for an hour of home nursing care for a local terminally ill patient and their families.

Registration is on the day by donation or by sponsorship prior to the event.
