Alastair Day re-launched the first batch of the blend in May 2010, with the release of 1256 bottles using only his Great Grandfather’s “cellar book” for guidance.
The original blend, produced by Alastair’s great grandfather and J & A Davidson, disappeared before WW2 due to the grain shortage which decimated much of the Scotch whisky industry.
Alastair recently launched his third batch of the blend, and is now in Ontario to promote its sale in a new market.
He is now on his way to Toronto. “I am really looking forward to getting out there to tell everyone more about it ,” he said.
