WE are all looking forward to our quiz night next Thursday, March 24, at Tweedmouth Bowling Club. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are £10 for a team of four including a light buffet. We will be holding a raffle and there will also be the chance to pick up !00+ Club forms.

This month’s prizes of £25 go to Mrs Lamb of Coldingham and Mrs Eastern of Cornhill. Congratulations to them both.

We have two super collies in Joe, who is around six to eight months and Ricky who is around 18 months. Both are very attractive and intelligent dogs who are loving and keen to please. Daisy is 16 month-old golden Labrador. She has lived with children and is a sociable dog but is in need of some back to basic training.

Bailey, Tess are both staffie types and very loving. Tess is around two years old whereas Bailey is under a year. Bailey is very sociable around other dogs, whereas Tess picks and chooses her pals carefully.

Cooper is almost three and a lovely laid back greyhound, who walks beautifully on lead and curls up really small in his bed. Lula is a vey large Great Dane cross who is beginning to walk beautifully on lead and has grown in confidence. She is a super girl but has a tail like a whip which she aims just at the back of your knees. She will need a large house with a nice secure garden.

Judy is over ten and a black and tan medium cross. She loves to be out on her walks and is quite independent in her needs. Jack is coming up for five years and a typical terrier. He needs a home away from other dogs as he can have a very dominant attitude. He loves one to one attention and is very affectionate towards humans.

Kim, who will be three in May, is still with us, walking beautifully on lead and generally enjoying life, but she needs her own home and is constantly overlooked. She is a medium sized, brindle cross, who would do best in a quiet home with a regular routine.

We have some stunning looking cats in and lots of rabbits. We also had a multi-coloured long haired cat handed in from the Billendean area of Spittal. Any information on an owner would be appreciated.

We are still looking for volunteers in our shop. Our shop is essential to allow BARK to continue to be in the position to offer places to animals in need.

There is always a wide range of excellent quality donated items for sale and 100 per cent of the sale price goes directly to helping the animals in our care. Please contact our shop if you can offer us a morning or afternoon per week to help.

We also need volunteers for our fundraising events as well as a minutes/correspondence secretary.
