Rescue dogs require work but the rewards can be huge

We have a huge amount of cats in and an even bigger waiting list. Young to old, a variety of colours and all affectionate and loving. So if you are thinking of getting a feline friend we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Two smaller dogs looking for homes are Benji and Bonnie. Both have a few problems but with the correct home and training these two beauties will thrive.

Benji is a terrier crossed with a Yorkie or maybe a Norfolk terrier? Who knows? He is a very handsome lad who has a few dominance issues and just needs to know the boundaries.

Bonnie is a pretty Jack Russell type, maybe with Parsons in her. She has clearly been a working dog and now not working frustrates her. Her ideal home would be one where she could perhaps work.

Penny is the last of a little group of English Bull Terrier crosses to be with us. Like her litter mates before her she is taking time to rehome. She’ll be three next month and loves a cuddle. She’s bright and quick to learn and enjoys life.

All dogs need work put into them regardless if they are puppies or adults and rescue dogs are no different. The rewards to both the new owners and the dogs are huge. Please consider a rescue.

Our 2015 calendars are selling well and we have just had to place our third order. We have one that is entirely dogs and the other is cats and other animals that we have rehomed.

Please pop into our shop, the kennels, RentonSwan or Pets Direct and pick one up. At the same time why not pick up a few raffle tickets for our Christmas hamper raffle. With food, drink, toys and pet hampers there is something for everyone. The draw takes place at our Christmas Fair on December 13.

Please consider joining our Friends of BARK scheme and make a regular donation to BARK each month. Please send us an email and we will be delighted to send out more information.
