Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Fair, we raised well over £1,000.
A big thank you to the Village Voices from Seahouses and Ford the Bakers for supplying the shortbread and mince pies both of which added to the festive atmosphere and made for very enjoyable event.
Congratulations to all the prize winners of our Christmas raffle, which included tickets to the Maltings, a meal at Heatherslaw Mill, and a Tesco drinks hamper. A complete list can be found on our website.
Five of the puppies are on their way to their new homes and one has gone to a volunteer for the Christmas break.
We are not doing any further rehoming until the New Year. Sadly there will be lots of animals in with us over the Christmas period.
With few visitors expected at the kennels we will try and give them that little bit extra time and a few extra playtimes.
Sadly although our rehoming has stopped the same could not be said for animals needing homes.
This week a rabbit and guinea turned up, the owner apparently unable to care for them any longer had arranged for someone else to bring them in.
Unfortunately this leaves us with two animals, that we didn’t have room for, and that we have no information on them, not even names.
We are surprised that Jasper is spending Christmas with us. He is a very enthusiastic youngster, and although he couldn’t go with other animals, he will make an entertaining addition to a household.
We have had some great photos sent in for ex-BARK animals and it is particularly poignant at this time of the year to know that they will be spending this Christmas in a home surrounded by love and probably with far too many presents and some for the first time in three years as in the case of Kim and Robbie. We do hope that they, and you, will have a very peaceful and enjoyable festive season.
