Local businesses have the opportunity to hold conferences and functions in one of Berwickshire’s most impressive buildings.

Alexander and Aline Hay of Duns Castle have recently completed the renovation of the formerly damp, decaying basement of the 1320 Peel Tower and have given the tower’s rooms, formerly the castle kitchen, scullery and servants’ hall, modern plumbing and central heating.

Although they are set up primarily as rooms for the family, it is intended that they will double up as function rooms available to local organisations.

The Hay family took up residence in Duns Castle in 1696.
