Perry is by the successful Nightingale Ploughman G376 who was sold to Genus Breeding and has been used extensively throughout the breed in the UK.

Perry contains the most influential breeding Nightingale has to offer in the form of the Nightingale Pride of Pershore line, who bred Netherallan Peter Pershore E052 who has sold sons up to 25,000gns and Nightingale Poundman C183 who is approaching his tenth year at Nightingale and has more than 500 services to his name.

Also at the forefront of Perry’s pedigree is Nightingale Precious Princess AO51, described by many as the best cow at Nightingale.

Performance wise Perry carries himself in the top 1% of the breed for 200, 400 and 600 day weights and has an impressive EMA of +7.8 along with a Terminal Index of +51 and a Self Replacing Index of +68.

Commenting on his purchase Mr Whiteford added: “It was important for us to find a herd sire with the performance that the modern market requires.

“With his strong confirmation backed up with generations of top performing cattle, it would be impossible to pass by on such a bull.”

Borewell Angus hopes to have semen available for sale in the near future from this remarkable young sire.
