Members Day hears of Pack Review

THE National Farmers Union of Scotland (NFUS) Lothian and Borders region's members' day was "very successful", said area manager Lisa Roberts.

Attenders were given an update on the work of local committees before MEP George Lyon, who sits on the European Parliament's agricultural committee, spoke on how he thinks CAP reforms may progress.

After supper, NFUS chief executive James Withers updated farmers on the recently published Pack Review.

Regional representatives are as follows: chairman: Ian Macdonald, Selkirk Branch; vice-chairmen: Ian Orr, Bathgate and West Calder Branch; Marion Tilson, Mid and East Berwick Branch.
