Andrew Lannagan (44), who runs Vx2 Construction Ltd with his business partner, has been selected for his passion for the trade, determination to succeed and going above and beyond the call of duty.

Andrew said: “If I were to get through to the final, I would be over the moon and it would demonstrate that all of my hard work has paid off.

“Our company has just turned two-years-old, and from a small start now has nine employees with a tenth on the way.

“Since Covid-19 hit we have expanded our work force. Over half of our team is under 25 and we believe that you can build a future with young people - when you have a good team you can push through the hard times and make it a success into the good times.

“It has been a challenging year and I’m delighted to get through to the next stage of the competition.”

If Andrew wins he will take home the ultimate trade bundle worth £20,000, which includes tools, a training budget and technology to help them take his business to the next level.
