Tideline Runners Theatre Company will present 72Hrs in Moscow at the Maltings Theatre in Berwick for a special three-night opening run from August 18.

Featuring members of the hugely popular “Here Come The Girls” cast, the play is a rollercoaster ride of action, comedy and a collection of songs that you’ll be humming for days.

The play follows a family as they are caught up in a series of seismic events (including espionage and a full scale riot) at the tail end of The Cold War.

“We told a home-town war story last time out, we wanted to take you somewhere else this time,” said Rob Wilkinson, of Tideline Runners.

“So we thought we’d exploit the the whole Berwick is at war with Russia legend that has been going for years.”

The result is a multi-stranded tale, drawn together in an epic conclusion as the finale delivers one of the most ambitious and nerve-wracking set-pieces ever put upon The Maltings’ stage.

72Hrs in Moscow will be staged from August 18-20 at 7.30pm. Tickets: stalls £10 - £12 / circle £14 / box (double occupancy) £36. Contact the box office on 01289 330999 or see
