This year’s recipients of the annual “Jane Cowan Memorial Award” for string playing are Roy Sui (left)and Anna Maxwell.
Both received a £50.00 voucher to spend at The Music Shop, Bridge Street, in recognition of the excellent progress they have made in violin playing.
Jane Cowan was the principal teacher and inspiration behind the Cello Centre formerly based at Edrom House Berwickshire.
The award was presented earlier in the year at one of their String Playdays, which are held termly at East Ord village hall, and attended by players of all ages and abilities.
