Cheers for the Male Voice Choir

Robin Cheer thanked his ‘boys’ and special girl for their hard work during a busy year for Berwick Male voice Choir.

At the end of season concert in St Andrew’s Wallace Green he told the audience they had covered great distances to entertain.

The girl is his wife Isabel who, as accompanist, plays at all the concerts and the weekly rehearsals.

Already they are planning a momentous 2014-15, visited by their twin choirs of Sarpsborg in Norway and Haan in Germany.

The choir was in top form with a programme of old and new songs including a huge hit made famous by John Lennon.

Solos, including Michael Ross accompanied by Michael Baglee, and by Isabel Cheer who sang ‘Take Back Your Mink’ from Guys and Dolls enhanced an excellent night.

The Mayor, Councillor Isabel Hunter added her congratulations.
