Renowned British singer Kiki Dee and guitarist Carmelo will take you on a spellbinding acoustic journey at Heart of Hawick on November 7.

They will be performing songs from across Kiki’s repertoire dating back more than 50 years to her early days as a backing singer for the likes of Dusty Springfield, to her own hits such as ‘Amoureuse’ (1973), ‘I’ve Got The Music In Me’ (1974) and ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ (1976) - her worldwide smash hit duet with Elton John.

For almost two decades, Kiki and Carmelo have been touring their mesmerising acoustic live show across the UK and Europe.

Performing in this stripped back fashion allows each of their exceptional talents to shine through and create a wonderful and warm sense of intimacy for the audience.

They will also be performing songs from their current album, ‘A Place Where I Can Go’, a selection of moving ballads and bluesy songs that are perfect for Kiki’s soulful voice.

During a career that has lasted 50 years Kiki has had a total of eight UK Top 40 hits (including a number 1 record with Elton John) and magnificant performances in major West End musicals.

Kiki’s impeccable vocal abilities have established her impressive credentials as a musician over those five decades.

She has covered all bases, from classic interpretations of soul hits to a repertoire of live and recorded material that includes her no. 1 record with Elton John) as well as masterful performances in a variety of musicals.

The theatrical hit ‘Pump Boys And The Dinettes’ was her first singing and acting role and subsequently she starred in Willy Russell’s ‘Blood Brothers’ for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Kiki’s 50th year as a recording artist finds her still pushing the boundaries and moving forward.

Tickets cost £16.
