The sounds of Duns Dings’A and many other tunes were reverberating around PFL Studios in Tweedmouth last weekend when a group of enthusiastic Duns folk got behind the mic to record songs for a commemorative album.

The as yet untitled group have been busy rehearsing since the back end of last year in preparation for recording the tracks.

Led by Davey Scott, the collective features the current Reivers Party as well as former ex-Reivers and Reivers Lassies of years gone by and local school children.

The CD, which will also feature renditions of Hugh MacKay’s ‘Reiver’s Gallop’ and James McFarlane’s ‘Song O’The Reiver’s Lass’ is due to be launched at a ball on April 19.

Once on sale all proceeds from the CD will go back into Duns events.
