Hardiesmill Aberdeen Angus beef, farmed at Gordon, is one of the top five brands of steak in the world by the French grading system ‘Steak (R)evolution’.

The beef is exported as a premium product to Europe and the Middle East as well as sold in the UK and Hardiesmill farm has become something of an international foodie destination attracting the Chinese Consul General, a delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Food and Agriculture and super-yacht suppliers.

As a result Robin and Alison Tuke have submitted an application to Scottish Borders Council for planning consent to install a micro-meat processing plant.
