Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival is expecting to receive proposals from “all over the world” for a new commission for this year’s event.
The selected proposal will be awarded £2,500 to cover artist fees and all production costs for the festival in September.
A spokseperson said: “We expect to receive proposals from artists nationally and all over the world who are working across moving image and photography, or who have moved from one practice to the other, while the new commission will explore the overlapping terrains of moving and still images.”
Following the success of last September’s event, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival returns for its eighth annual celebration of the art of film – once again illuminating the whole town through screenings, installations and projections, in locations across Berwick and along the Town Walls, and capturing the imaginations of audiences from the north east, the Scottish Borders and across the UK.
The commission will be supported by Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival and the North East Photography Network through the University of Sunderland.
