Emerging film talent is once again lining up alongside established professionals in this year’s Berwick Film Festival programme.
The event got off to a great start last night and there’s still four days of films and installations to cast your eye on.
As well as young filmmakers being in the spotlight with the screening of this year’s Chris Anderson Award nominees on Sunday, there is also plenty for the younger generation to sit back and enjoy.
Saturday sees the appearance of famous children’s TV characters the Moomins in ‘Moomins and the Comet Chase’ and other animated highlights include Viking adventure ‘Wickie & the Treasure of the Gods’ and Danish film ‘The Great Bear’.
And one of the festival’s closing films, teen documentary ‘Bravehearts’, will be introduced by its director Kari Anne Moe who is journeying to Berwick from Norway for the occasion.
Any youngsters who feel inspired to get creative have ample opportunity with a series of workshops taking place at The Maltings over the next few days.
