Reivers Vaulting Group had a very successful start to the season at the first completion of the year held at Kingsbarn Falkirk

In the junior female section Shannon Purves recorded her first individual win, on board Aspen Delikat lunged by Rebecca Hewit.

She completed a good set of compulsories followed by a solid and secure freestyle routine.

In a close second place was Shannon’s Reivers team mate Stacey Macpherson also on board Aspen Delikat.

In the junior male section CJ Bell finished in third place on board Silver Horizon, owned by Philip Hewit and lunged by Julie Purves.

The under 14 female individual class saw a win for Gabrielle Purves. This was her first attempt in the class and she came home the clear winner on Aspen Delikat.

After a last minute change of horse Sophie Aitchison put in a good all round performance to finish in second place on Bart Simpson owned by Andy Miller and Lunged by Rebecca Hewit.

In fourth place was Imogen Johnstone Jones on Silver Horizon, in sixth place was Tara Aitchison on Bart Simpson and in eighth place was Emma Counsel on Silver Horizon.

This class is always the largest of the day and had 25 competitors.

In the male division Charlie Lochhead, on Silver Horizon lunged by Julie Purves, finished in third place.

In the canter freestyle only class all three vaulters had to swap horses but came home with great results.

Chloe Aitchison on Bart Simpson won her first canter individual. Henry Johnston Smith was fifth and Troy Bell 13th - both were on board Bart Simpson lunged by Rebecca Hewit.

The novice team of CJ Bell, Troy Bell, Tara Aitchison, Imogen Johnstone Jones, Henry Johnston Smith and Chloe Aitchison finished in fifth place on board Silver Horizon lunged by Rebecca Hewit.

This was Silver Horizon’s first team class and he showed real promise for the future.

In the walk individual class Rebecca Crawford finished in third place on Bart Simpson lunged by Anna Marie Macpherson

Heather Graham finished in fourth place in her first ever completion and Katy Hammond finished in seventh place. Both girls were vaulting on Bart Simpson.

In the nine and under walk section Samual Johnston Smith finished in ninth place and Abbey Aitchison in 12th place - both were lunged by Anna Marie Macpherson on Bart Simpson.
