Perfect conditions for Duns Hunter Trial

The dry conditions and sunny day on Sunday provided a wonderful setting for the Berwickshire Hunt Hunter Trial held at Duns Castle by kind permission of Alick and Arlene Hay.

The decision to postpone the event from Sunday, March 13, when wet ground, snow and sleet were the order of the day was clearly a decision well taken.

Alick Hay of Duns Castle and Ian Watson of Border Farm Supplies – the main sponsor of the event – presented prizes to the following: Nursery 1a - 1. Ian Aitchison, 2. Joanna Mitchell, 3. Peter Leggate, chairman of the event, thanked the Hay family for making the parks of Duns Castle available for the event and Ian Watson of Border Farm Supplies, who have been the main sponsors for many years. He also thanked the large number of secondary sponsors and the huge army of helpers who made the whole event possible.
