A total of 221 budding gymnasts from across East Lothian participated in the Annual East Lothian Gymnastics Competition at Meadowmill Sports Centre.

Now in its fourth year, the event attracts participants from recreational classes within local schools and sports centres as well as members of the local gymnastics clubs.

Watched by enthusiastic friends, family and supporters, the gymnasts, aged between 4-15 years, were judged on two events, a floor routine and the vault. Each of the gymnasts showed great finesse, control and skill while performing their routines consisting of jumps, balances, rolls and tumbles. Their agility, power and control techniques were tested on the vault. Medals and prizes were awarded in both the Recreational and Club level competitions of each age group.
