WATCH: Rugby player Andrew Skeen, performance award winner at Berwick Sports Awards

Rugby player Andrew Skeen picked up the senior Male Performance of the Year award after he helped his club, Melrose, of which he was captain, win eight of the ten Kings of the Sevens tournaments during the summer.

Skeen, who is a former Berwick player, who has also played for Newcastle Falcons and in Italy, is a great exponent of the Sevens game and the victories helped achieve a remarkable milestone, being the only player to have won a ‘clean sweep’ of winners medals on the Kings of the Sevens circuit, having won at every tournament at least once.
