Toby Douglas of Duns Amateur Swimming Club made his Scottish debut at the Tri-Nations meet in Bangor, Ireland.

Toby was part of a 40 strong youth team who had been selected after two selection phases at the National Swimming Academy in Stirling, where swimmers were assessed on team, training, competition and lifestyle skills.

Scottish Youth Head Coach Steve Tigg said: “The enthusiasm, behaviour and team spirit displayed by each individual was exemplary. This went a long way in ensuring that the swimmers competed through the three days of competition delivering some outstanding individual/relay performances and took home the top team trophy.”
