At a recent martial arts grading held by Borders Martial Arts a number of students were successful in gaining higher grades in their chosen martial art.

In Freestyle Kickboxing and self-defence the following were awarded: Ben Turner and Jamie Turner (junior white belts), Gavin Tait (white belt), Macy Lunn (junior yellow belt), Andrew Minter (yellow belt), Sam Shepherd and Gabby Kinghorn (junior blue belts). Jake Shepherd, with a brown belt, achieved the highest grade of the day.

In Shaolin Lau Gar Kung Fu, Tim Boyle was awarded his orange sash.
