Eyemouth athlete Marcus D’Agrosa has been in fine form lately with two superb performances over 10 miles.

In the Scottish 10 Mile Championships he finished 16th in a superb time of 55 minutes. He then went on to run in the Great Edinburgh 10 Miles Race where he finished 11th in a field of 5,000 runners, in a time of 57 minutes on a very undulating course.

The winner in Edinburgh was Daniel Wallis from New Zealand and runner-up was Rob Watson from Canada, both world class distance athletes.

Henry Gray, who coaches Marcus, said: “In his first season of serious athletics what Marcus has achieved is quite remarkable.”
