Eyemouth boxer Lewis Paulin maintained his undefeated record as a professional with a straight-forward victory over Lithuanian Simas Volosinas in Glasgow on Friday night.

The super featherweight looked assured in each of his six rounds to register his fifth win since signing with promoter Alex Morrison last spring. He now remains unbeaten in every round in his professional career.

Lewis, 25, is looking to make a real impact in the sport and has already been confirmed on the bill of Ricky Burns’ WBA world super lightweight title fight against Michele Di Rocco at the SSE Hydro in May.

Lewis said: “You don’t get much bigger than fighting on a bill for a world title so I’m really buzzing. It’s hard not to lose your focus when that’s on the horizon but I’m glad I got the win on Friday. I hope I can raise a few eyebrows and get some more exposure.”
