Monarchs missing two key men for Bandits double header

BERWICK Bandits have been boosted by the news that opponents Edinburgh Monarchs will be without two key riders for this weekend’s League Cup double header.

Derek Sneddon has a broken collar bone and Charles Wright is battered and bruised after both were involved in a nasty double pile-up at Ashfield on Sunday. Neither will be riding this weekend, when the League Cup qualifying campaign will be concluded for both teams with matches against at Armadale tonight and Shielfield tomorrow,

The Bandits do not have a good record at Armadale, but they are unlikely to have a better chance than this week with the Monarchs’ team weakened.
