There was a famous face on the links at Goswick Golf Club last week, when Lee Westwood, turned up for an unexpected practice.
The Ryder Cup star, who has represented Europe in the last eight competitions, has won tournaments on five continents, and is a former World No 1 ranked player.
He played a round last week, when he also posed for a photograph on the first tee with ‘Ruby,’ owned by club pro Paul Terras.
Westwood later Tweeted: ‘Ruby had the right idea by staying next to the radiator. Ffffreezing. Great links course though - had an enjoyable day.’
