Gold medal for Ellenor

Coach Neil Tait and Duns ASC swimmers Danny Milton, Ellenor Gracey and Kacper Dluzak enjoyed a successful weekend’s Scottish Summer Meet 2015, at the Royal Commonwealth Pool.

The swimmers were invited to compete after achieving sufficient ranking status in the qualification period from March to May.

Danny Milton finished just outside his PB in the 50m breatstroke on Friday morning while Kacper Dluzak reached two finals in his age group, posting big PB’s in the 100m and 200m breast and narrowly missing out on bronze in the 100m breaste final finishing in fourth place.

Ellenor Gracey posted a good personal best in her opening swim of the meet, in the 800m freestyle on Friday morning.

Saturday saw Ellenor achieve big PBs in the heats in both the 50m breast and 50m free to reach both Finals. Qualifying fastest in her age group for the 50m free.

In a close fought battle Ellenor won gold in the 50m freestyle final, improving yet again on her earlier heat time, swimming sub 28s for the first time - 27.91! In the 50m free final she was fourth with a big PB and just missing out on a medal.
