Keira Waddell and Andrew Hogg both of Duns Badminton Club took part in the Badminton England U13 and U15 Bronze Tournaments at Tyneside Badminton Centre at the weekend.

Despite both only being 12, they certainly did not look out of place in the U15 event, with both narrowly missing out on medals for singles, level doubles and mixed, however, the U13 proved to be more successful with both winning gold in the mixed doubles playing together and gold in the level doubles. Andrew was beaten in the final of the singles to pick up a silver medal while Keira won bronze in her singles event. A very successful weekend for the small Scottish contingent playing in such a large tournament, which is part of a series of events run throughout England.
