Dennis to keep time at speedway GP

LONG serving Berwick Speedway official Dennis McCleary will be the Official FIM timekeeper at the British Speedway GP at Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium this Saturday evening (August 25) and will be situated next to FIM referee Krister Gardell high up in the Cardiff arena

FIM official and British referee Tony Steele put Dennis forward for the event as reward for his long service to speedway in this country and the Berwick official said this week: It’s a real honour and it should be a great occasion as always at Cardiff, I am looking forward to it very much indeed.”

North East of England Speedway is well rewarded at the event with Graham Smith (Newcastle) as pits marshal, Colin Hunter (Redcar) machine examiner, Phil Day (Newcastle) start marshal and Barrie Simpson (Redcar) start marshal, also in attendance.
