Andrew Reed has been appointed as the new president of Glendale Curling Club.

Reed has been a member of Glendale for 20 years and is hoping to inject some freshness and energy into the club during his two year stint.

Glendale Curling Club, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, plays out of Kelso ice rink and is the only English outfit, based in Wooler, playing in the Border League.

Reed is also a member of the English men’s curling team and he says anyone interested in curling should get in touch - new or old members will be made welcome.
