Foulden beat Swinton in the final to win the Tweedmouth Kettle.

The Tweedmouth Kettle semis and final were played on Saturday. Swinton beat Greenlaw and Foulden just pipped Duns by the odd shot in the semi-finals.

This brought Foulden and Swinton together to contest the final. A fired up Michael Sutherland did a demolition job on the opposition to bring Foulden their second win this century.

In midweek, between the Kettle rounds, the Grow How Border Bonspiel took place, with rinks from all province clubs (bar Gala Water) taking part, with numbers of rinks playing according to the size of each club.

After a 30-year break, Roxburghe came through as winners, all three rinks beating their opponents with sufficient margins to accomplish this task.

To the amazement of all concerned, a five scored by Lammermuir gained the hill club a special ‘biggest end’ prize.
