Berwick rowers travelled to Strathclyde Park Regatta for the Scottish Student Championships.

It was Andrew Cairns’ first attempt at the 2000m in J16 single sculls and he made the final where he finished fifth.. Robin Morrison and Chris Eke competed in the Mas A-C double sculls 1000m, finishing in second place with the win going to Castle Semple.

On Sunday Alan Robertson, Gordon Benton, Iain Boyd Whyte and Ian Smith were up against their usual composite rivals, and they won by half a boat length. It was a successful and very close first race of the season for Hilary Cairns and Alison Inglis in Mas C-E double sculls.
