Bandits look for right result

BERWICK travel to Glasgow on Sunday looking for a result which would extend their season.

The Bandits take on the Tigers at Ashfield knowing that they need to win, or at the very least not lose by more than 11 points.

And if they manage to achieve that they will qualify for the Premier Challenge Trophy which would guarantee them at least two more fixtures.

“We know that if we get the right result we will face either Rye House, or possibly Ipswich in the final,” said manager Ian Rae.

“If we don’t achieve the right scoreline it will be Redcar who will qualify instead.”

Berwick have drafted in Edinburgh’s Theo Pijper as a guest replacement for the injured Ricky Ashworth, whilst 21-year-old Ben Reade will ride at reserve in place of Klaus Jakobsen, who has returned home to Denmark.

Should Berwick make the final the home leg will be scheduled at Shiel;field for Saturday, October 27.
