Duns Football Club has agreed a new deal for the sponsorship of its soon to be built covered area.

Berwick businessman Kevin Shearer, who runs and owns the Berwick based printing firm Print Spot, working out of the Workspace building in the town centre, agreed to the deal last week following a meeting with chairman Colin Pike.

“Kevin has helped our club on a number of occasions in the last few years with various sponsorship deals,” said Pike, “and when we were looking at potential sponsors for our new enclosure his name sprang right to mind.

“Kevin is a good friend to Duns Football Club and this latest deal moves our relationship to a new level.

“I’d like to publicly acknowledge our thanks to Kevin for coming on board in our latest venture and making it possible for us to move forward again in our ground development programme.”

The new covered area will be erected close to the entrance to New Hawthorn Park and will provide shelter for fans taking in the games.

Only recently the club unveiled the new gates at the ground, complete with club crest, which is a continuation of the ongoing stadium improvements.
