Berwick Rangers have added to their squad for the 2016-17 season with the signing of two new players during the past week.

Striker Jordyn Sheerin has joined the club after playing for Championship side Livingston last season, whilst wing-back Kevin McKinlay has completed a move to Shielfield after being released by Stirling Albion.

Sheerin made 36 appearances for Livingston in 2015-16 and the 26-year-old will provide Rangers will additional fire-power up front following the departure of last season’s leading goalscorer, Blair Henderson, to Stirling Albion.

Standing at 6ft tall, he is a familiar talent to manager John Coughlin who has managed him at East Stirlingshire. The striker’s most successful season came in 2014/2015, where he attracted the attention of numerous Championship clubs after netting an incredible 42 goals for Musselburgh Athletic.

And the forward isn’t short of SPFL experience elsewhere either, having also previously been with the likes of East Fife and Arbroath as a youngster.

McKinlay will add a wealth of experience to the Berwick left flank, having also enjoyed spells with Ross County, Partick Thistle, Dundalk, Morton, Stenhousemuir and Ayr United during his career.

A Chelsea youth academy product, McKinlay has also filled in at centre back and even as a striker in the past.

Sheerin and McKinlay join the following players who have all previously been confirmed: Goalkeeper Kevin Walker, Euan Bald, Robert Wilson, Jonny Fairbairn, Allan Walker, Brian Martin, Graeme Beveridge, Barry Hogg, Stevie Notman, Michael McKenna, Calum Helm and Darren Lavery.

Midfielder Finn Graham has also been offered terms but has yet to accept a new deal. As an under 23, if Graham does opt to leave Shielfield, Berwick would be entitled to a compensation fee.

Meanwhile, Rangers can confirm that Ross Drummond, Dwayne Coultress, Mark Walters and Billy Bald have all left Shielfield Park following the expiry of their contracts and loanees Jordan McGregor and Callum Crane have left following the expiry of their loan deals from Hibernian. McGregor has signed a full-time deal with Hamilton following his Hibernian release, whilst Crane will be hoping to break into the Hibs first-team. Sandy Cunningham has also left and is looking for a new club.
