Chirnside were the big winners on Saturday in Division A of the Border Amateur League.

They hammered opponents Leithen Rovers 7-0 to open up a six point gap between themselves and Leithen at the bottom of the table.

Border Cup winners Gordon, missing several regulars on Saturday, lost 4-3 at home to Langholm Legion.

Livingstone scored twice to put Gordon 2-0 up after 25 minutes and Utterson had a goal dissallowed. However, Langholm hit back and went 3-2 ahead before Livingstone completed his hat-trick to equalise. As Gordon went all out for the winner it was Langholm who secured the points with a goal in the last minute.

In Division B Coldstream Amnateurs lost 4-1 to Tweedmouth Amateurs at Home Park while Duns Reserves went down 5-2 away to Hawick United.
