This was a very similar match to last week’s game at Wooler, although unlike the encounter with Gosforth Bohemians, the Glendale side secured a point.
In the first half Wooler were subjected to an onslaught of pressure and were forced to defend very deeply. They were punished twice when they could not effectively deal with crosses and the visitors scored in the 20th and 25th minutes.
Wooler struggled to create chances at the other end and the visitors put them under sustained pressure.
Just before the break Wooler had a bit of luck when against the run of play Luke Strangeways broke through to score.
Wooler were fortunate to go in at half-time only one goal behind as North Sheilds had created numerous scoring opportunities.
In the second half Wooler had much more possession and they equalised with five minutes to go when Michael Saunders met a pinpoint Stuart Bertram corner.
