Duns kick off their new East of Scotland season with an away game against Peebles Rovers in the Qualifying League on Saturday.
Manager Carl Hudson has introduced five new players to his squad and is confident they can climb the table.
“Last season we came in half-way through and it was a settling in period for everyone,” he said.
“It was a learning curve, but this year, like everyone else, we start of from fresh and we are hopeful and confident we can do well.”
Hudon, who previously managed Eyemouth, has drafted in three former ‘Fishermen’ in the shape of George Windram, Andrew Hastie and goalkeeper Paul Tansey.
Central defender Doug Brydon has also returned to his home-town club after two seasons with Berwick Rangers, although he spent the whole of 2013-14 on the sidelines with a groin/hip injury.
Also joining the squad is Sean Robertson who steps up from Duns Reserves.
“We have brand new facilities here,” said chairman Colin Pike,.“It is the perfect playing environment and were are hopeful we can have a good season.”
