Eyemouth brought the curtain down on their Qualifying League campaign with a 2-0 defeat away to Tynecastle.
The game was evenly balanced until midway through the second half, when, with the scores still locked at 0-0, Eyemouth had a player sent off.
Jonathon Brown was shown a straight red card for lunging into a tackle, and when they went down to ten men, the Edinburgh side took advantage.
In the first half it was a case of missed chances at both ends. Alan Jess and Chris Faulkner both found themselves one-on-one with the Tynecastle keeper, but failed to convert.
At the other end, the home centre forward had at least three chances, but failed to hit the target with any of them.
In the second half the game was in the balance until Brown’s dismissal after an hour..
Faulkner had another chance when put through, but shot wide.
Tynecastle scored not long after the sending off and then added a second near the end as gaps started to open up in the Eyemouth defence.
