This Qualifying Cup tie was played out in stormy conditions at Ainslie Park, but to their credit, both sets of players still managed to make it a decent game for the crowd.
With no fewer than nine regulars missing through either injury or suspension, manager Andrew Gibson was helped out by Bryan Stuart of Coldstream Amateurs, who supplied five players enabling him to patch together a squad.
Against the wind and rain in the first half, the Streamers battled well and Darren Simpson forced the keeper into a point-blank save. Aaron Punton also went close with a drilled left footed effort which was palmed to safety.
At the other end, Coldstream stopper Mark Walters tipped a powerful shot onto his post before denying former Streamer Lee Zavaroni as he broke through on goal. The same player then rattled the woodwork but ten minutes before the interval. Zavarobni gave his side the lead with a tap-in.
There were chances at either end in the second half before David Stewart broke free to chip the onrushing Walters .
