Duns kicked off their new East of Scotland League season with a Qualifying League game away to Peebles Rovers on Saturday.

The Dingers got off to the perfect start with striker Michael Robinson, who has been in prolific form in pre-season, giving them the lead after just five minutes.

The Berwickshire side then doubled their advantage after 29 minutes through Des Chisholm, and they led 0-2 at half-time.

But in the second half the home side were sharper out of the blocks and within 15 minutes of the restart they were level.

Duns then steadied the ship, and with several first team regulars missing due to work and family commitments, a point was not seen as a bad start to their campaign.

Duns: Tansey, Ainslie, Walker, McHoul, D Brydon, McGregor, Weatherburn, Chisholm, Robinson, Tait, Waddell. Subs Shennan, Burns, Robertson.
